Where it is
The National Register district, as drawn in the city’s data, runs north from Main Street along Duke’s East Campus, with Watts Street, Gregson Street, Buchanan Boulevard and Trinity Avenue crossing it. The original nomination was enlarged by a 2004 boundary increase on the north side. About 93% of the district is in ZIP code 27701 and the rest, on the west, in 27705.
On the district’s west edge is the city’s separate Trinity Heights local historic district, adopted by ordinance in 1992. In a local historic district, state law requires a certificate of appropriateness before most exterior changes. The city’s Place Type Map marks most of Trinity Park as Established Residential, with East Campus as an Institutional Campus.

How we built this page
The area is the National Register’s Trinity Historic District and its 2004 boundary increase, as mapped in the city’s planning data; OpenStreetMap names the neighborhood Trinity Park. School zones come from the district’s 2026-27 attendance zones, checked at 245 points; a home near a zone line can differ. We found no city or county registry of homeowners associations for Trinity Park, so this page does not describe them.
